COACHING FRAMEWORK

Methods and techniques

GROW

The GROW model is a simple method for goal setting and problem solving, providing a fixed structure to coaching conversations. GROW stands for: ‘Goal’ (purpose), ‘Reality’ (current situation), ‘Options’ (possibilities) and ‘Will’ (action plan). This type of coaching is effective in encouraging vision, clarifying goals, overcoming challenges and take decisive action.

SOLUTION-FOCUSED

The Solutions-Focused approach looks at solutions, not problems, strengths, not weaknesses, and on what’s going well rather than what’s gone wrong. This approach is about finding solutions in the present and exploring hope for the future. It aims to achieve quicker resolution of problems. This coaching style assumes that the client knows what to do to improve their own life. With appropriate questioning, they are capable of finding the best solutions.

CBC

CBC (Cognitive Behavioral Coaching) is used to understand the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. This type of coaching focuses on the present as a way to change the future. With CBC, we explore and evaluate views and beliefs that contribute to unhelpful behavior. Together we challenge these distorted cognitions and replace them with more balanced ones. This process helps build confidence and reduce anxiety.

OCEAN

OCEAN is an assessment tools to measure a group of five unique personality characteristics (Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism) that offers insights into behavioral preferences of a client. OCEAN insights are used to tailor the coaching approach and is offering strategies for enhanced problem-solving and communication, client potential and pathways for growth.

MOTIVATIONAL

It is a form of coaching that focuses on helping you find your own motivation and use it to achieve your goals. The main goal of motivational coaching is to help clients overcome their own obstacles and get them to change what causes them dissonance. This method uses constructive conversation to acquire and develop positive and optimistic thinking to overcome fears and doubts.

ACT

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Training) involves learning a number of mindfulness skills in order to deal with thoughts and emotions more effectively. Yet this is mindfulness for the messiness of real life. It is mindfulness with a purpose. So there is a strong emphasis on connecting with one’s inner values and seeing these values realized in everyday life through action.

PEER COACHING

Peer coaching is a collaborative process where individuals work together to reflect on their practices, set goals, and provide each other with feedback and support. A peer coaching model typically involves team members taking on the roles of both coach and coachee, with the aim of fostering professional growth and increasing the team member’s belief in their ability to execute the behavior.

LEADERSHIP MODELS

Action-centered leadership is used for improving the needs of the task,  individuals and the team. When there are clashes between the three elements, prioritization must occur based on the organization’s needs.

Transformational leadership is using enthusiasm for a shared vision to create an emotional bond between leader and follower.

SOCRATIC QUESTIONING

The Socratic method involves asking a series of focused, open-ended questions that encourage reflection. By surfacing knowledge that was previously outside of our awareness, the technique produces insightful perspectives and helps identify positive actions.

Process

How it works

Every person and situation is unique, and we personalize the experience to fit your preferences and goals. Each client’s goal vary in complexity and might involve self-discovery, exploration, learning and execution. We work together in partnership to achieve this. Our expectation of you is that you’re ready to engage in the important work of figuring this out.

STEP 1

Schedule your free intro call. We’ll use this time to discover if we are the best match and discuss opportunities for coaching.  After the introduction session, you have a good understanding of our approach and methods, as well as what coaching package is most suited to your needs.

STEP 2

This is the moment when our relationship formally begins. Now is the moment when you select and purchase your coaching package.

STEP 3

In our first session, we’re looking at key areas to baseline where you’re at, reflect on how things are going and help identify key areas for us to focus on.

STEP 4

Once we have the baseline,  we will deep dive to get clarity on what you want to achieve and create your strategic roadmap.

STEP 5

Next we  establish the workflow, rhythm and habits to build momentum and confidence. From here onward you execute your action plan and move forward to achieve your goals

STEP 6

At the end of the program, we evaluate the progress we achieved together and discuss next steps and follow-up support.

Pricing

Straightforward pricing for a streamlined experience

Our coaching programs are developed from what worked great with clients in the past and are created to give you a meaningful and streamlined experience. The costs of each coaching package are paid upfront on a monthly basis and represent a bilateral commitment of our working relationship.

Refund policy

You can request a full refund up to and including the first 30 minutes of the first consultation with no questions asked. We do not issue refunds beyond that point. However, unused fees will be returned to you should you elect to stop the process.

TIME FRAME

Duration and frequency

The length of a personal development coaching program is 3 months. Any less than that makes it difficult to achieve a meaningful outcome and you might not see the value of continuing.

The frequency of coaching sessions is usually two sessions of 45 minutes per month, but it will depend on your goals, the level of urgency, how much work we need to do and our mutual availability.

In the end, your objective is what determine the length of our relationship.

At the end of the program, we evaluate the result and discuss next steps. The program can be longer, but never more than 12 months.
